Marketing commercial real estate listings in the U.S. through third-party platforms first began with Black’s Guide in 1976, a catalog containing CRE listings in major metropolitan markets. LoopNet and Costar are credited for bringing CRE listings online.

Over the years a few CRE listing platforms have come and gone, but online listing platforms have remained fragmented and adverse to cooperation with each other.

The lack of cooperation between CRE listing platforms forces agents to either manually enter their listings into multiple platforms, or more likely pick one platform and hope for the best. Spotlight Interview: Bob Sattler, President Lee & Associates Orange

Bob has over 35 years’ experience in commercial real estate from developing small industrial buildings for sale and multi-tenant parks for lease to being a broker leasing and selling office and industrial properties in the North Orange County market. After 15 years at CB Richard Ellis he joined Lee & Associates in 1998 and has been a consistent Top producer. His community and civic involvement includes being president and board member of organizations such as the Rotary Club of Fullerton and the Executive Council of the College of Business at Cal State Fullerton.

LD: What career path did you want to take when you were in college?

BS: An unusual one of getting a degree in physiology and a masters degree in business. Spotlight Interview: Adam Tarantur, CCIM Principal at Podolsky Circle CORFAC International

Adam Tarantur is a Principal at Podolsky Circle CORFAC International and also sits on the firm’s Executive Committee. He began his career in commercial real estate upon graduating from the business school at the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics.
